Betty Jane Miller

Betty Jane Miller, 82, of Goshen, died at 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2009 at Greencroft. She was born to Leland and Mary (Sutuzman) Sleppy on April 14, 1926 in Goshen. On April 21, 1946 in Goshen she married Elmer R. Miller. He died on December 23, 2004. Mrs. Miller worked for dietary services at Goshen College and Waterford Elementary School. She was a member of Prairieview Missionary Church. She is survived by one daughter, Becci Lynn Hawkins of Goshen; one son, Stephen Ray (Pamela) Miller of Goshen; four grandchildren, Cassidy Wise, Charles Lee Miller, Shahn Elizabeth Lehmer and Maggie Miller; ten great-grandchildren; and one brother, Richard (Jane) Sleppy of Goshen. She was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Sleppy. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2009 in the Meetinghouse at Greencroft. A 4:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2009 funeral will be held in the Meetinghouse at Greencroft. Burial will be at a later date in Violett Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Prairieview Missionary Church.
