Betty Ann (Berkey) Halsey

Betty Ann (Berkey) Halsey, 84, of Goshen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026. She was born on February 12, 1942, in Syracuse, Indiana, to William and Dorothy (Cundiff) Halsey.

She married Wayne Berkey, who preceded her in death.

Betty is lovingly remembered by her children, Kevin (Ellen) Berkey of Goshen, Todd (Heather) Berkey of Goshen, and Tonya Berkey of Goshen; and her brothers, Mike (Brenda) Halsey of Sebring, Florida, and Steve (Cheryl) Halsey of Sebring, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne; and her son, Anthony Berkey.

Betty dedicated many years to serving others through her work. She was employed as a cashier at Walmart for 15 years and also worked at Heartland in Goshen for 25 years. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with friends, playing games, and being surrounded by loved ones.

Betty was a devoted fan of Notre Dame athletics and rarely missed cheering on her team. She also had a love for cooking and took great pride in baking and cake decorating, often sharing her creations with family and friends. Betty had a warm and welcoming spirit and cherished every moment with her family, who meant the world to her.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m.
