Betty Bears

Betty Bears, 91, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, died Sunday, January 2, 2011, at Ocean Springs Health Care. She was born April 18, 1919 in Goshen to the late John Henry and Sarah “Sadie” (Croop) Yoder.  She married Ernest L. Bears on October 12, 1940, in Goshen.  He died May 29, 1993. Surviving are two daughters, Marcia Mitchell of Syracuse, and Cheryl Wade of Lathrop, Missouri; and seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Donald Yoder; and a grandson, Tim Mitchell. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
