Bertha Evelyn (Stover) West

Bertha Evelyn (Stover) West, 79, of Goshen, died Tuesday evening, March 31, 2015, at Courtyard Healthcare. She was born January 12, 1936 in Ameagle, West Virginia to Early and Luella (Moles) Stover. On October 23, 1997 she married William "Jack" West. He died November 20, 2012. Bertha is survived by a daughter, Vicki (Mike) Kimberlin of Millersburg; three sisters, Norma Stover, Delsie Margison and Nadine Stover, all of Beckley West Virginia; three brothers, Jerry and David Stover, both of Clear Creek, West Virginia and Tommy (Donna) Stover of Goshen; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Lorene Reed and Nancy Stover, and a brother, James Stover. A Goshen resident since 1997, Mrs. West worked as a certified nurse assistant in a Beckley nursing home. Friends may call Thursday, April 2, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015, funeral service will be conducted. Rev. David Boys, Liberty Community Church, will officiate. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Courtyard Healthcare or Center for Hospice Care.
