Bertha P Miller, 85, of Goshen, Indiana, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at Courtyard Healthcare.
She was born November 9, 1930 in Inman, Kansas to Jacob and Katherine (Pauls) Neufeld.
She married Kenneth Miller on June 7th, 1952.
Bertha was a good friend to many and had the gift of hospitality. She had a spirit of service. She was faithful to God and had an undying love and passion for family.
Her baking and cooking skills were legendary, especially her chocolate chip cookies, which gifted and blessed many. Bertha was a homemaker and an active supporter of her husband, Kenneth's busy medical practice.
Bertha was a member of Silverwood Mennonite Church.
Bertha is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Kenneth Miller; five children, Berry (Robin) Miller, Angola, IN, Phil (Judy) Miller, Atlanta, GA, Becky (Jonathan) Nussbaum, Union, MI, Bonnie (Mike) Gingrich, Elkhart, IN and Gordon (Tonya) Miller, Leo, IN; 16 grandchildren, Matthew Miller, Kristi Murphy, Andrew Miller, Zach Miller, Allison Kizziar, Josh Miller, Katelyn Nussbaum, Erin Beeker, Olivia Burkholder, Amy Nussbaum, Ryan Gingrich, Jacob Gingrich, Lauren Gingrich, Kienan Miller, Kiana Miller, and Korban Miller; 11 great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Walter (Frieda) Neufeld, Peter (Onale) Neufeld, Elfrieda (Marvin) Funk, Ed ( Sherie) Neufeld, Esther Regier, Arnie (Helen) Neufeld, and sister-in-law, Arlis Neufeld.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bert Neufeld.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
The celebration service will be at Silverwood Mennonite Church, 1712 W Clinton Street, Goshen at 11 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2016 with viewing one hour prior.
Cremation will follow the service.
