Bertha Dickerhoff

Bertha Dickerhoff, 94, of Goshen, died Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at her home.

She was born April 8, 1929 in Goshen to Levi C. and Susanna (Kaufman) Schmucker.

On October 13, 1952 she married Earl E. Dickerhoff in Bristol. He died July 2002.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Jaqueline Armstrong, Bolingbrook, Illinois; a step-son, Donald (Barb) Weaver, Bloomington; seven step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren and a brother, Glenn (Irmalou) Schmucker, Zionsville.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Alma Borkholder, Mary Leah Yoder, Elva Wells, Bessie Garver and Matilda Brenner and three brothers, Isaac, Christian and Alvin Schmucker.

Bertha worked as a registered nurse at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne for over 38 years, retiring October 31, 1990. She was a member of Goshen First Church.

Visitation will be Monday, May 15, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Diana Siegel will officiate.

Burial at Covington Cemetery, Fort Wayne will be Thursday, May 18 at 12:00 p.m.
