Berniece E. “Bee” Douma, 87, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, November 15, at home.
She was born December 10, 1935, the daughter of Noble O. and Ethel V. (Eisenhour) Bowman.
On April 25, 1954, she married Byron L. Douma in New Paris.
He survives along with two daughters, Twilight and Dawn Douma, both of Goshen; a sister, Janice Bizzari of Bloomington and three brothers, Walter (Anna) Bowman of Goshen, Clair (Nellie) Bowman of McCall, Idaho and Ron (Susan) Bowman of West Grove, Pennsylvania.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Bowman.
A 1953 graduate of New Paris High School, Bee later pursued a degree at Goshen College, graduating in 1985. A seamstress and piano teacher, she was a member of North Webster Church of God where she was a part of the J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) group.
Visitation will be Monday, November 20, from 3 until the 6 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Jeff Boyer will officiate.
A private burial will take place at Rock Run Cemetery,
Memorial donations may be given to North Webster Church of God or World Missionary Press.
