Bernard "Bernie" C. Perrin

Bernard “Bernie” C. Perrin, 76, of Ligonier, died early Friday morning, August 25, 2006, at his home after a 3 month illness.   He was born April 1, 1930, in Goshen, Indiana, to the late Thomas and Lillie (Reeves) Perrin.  On September 15, 1950, in Goshen, he married Joan Smith.  She survives.   Mr. Perrin, a 1949 Goshen High School graduate, lived in Goshen until 1984, when he moved to Ligonier.  He worked as a machinist at Walerko Tool and Engineering for 30 years, retiring in 1990.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, garage sales and gardening.   He is survived by his wife, Joan; three daughters, Marjorie (Larry) Haynes of Ligonier, Indiana, Brenda (Cris) Leal of Elkhart, Indiana, and Yalanda (Brad) Sanford of Wawaka, Indiana; three sons, David (Terry) Perrin of Manassas, Virginia, Timothy (Lori) Perrin of Nappanee, Indiana, and Paul Michael (Bobbi) Perrin of Bridgeview, Illinois; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rhoda Moriarty and a brother, Thirston (Margaret) Perrin, both of Goshen.   He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Hughes, a son, Terry D. Perrin and a granddaughter, Joan Gresso.   There will be no visitation.   An 11:00 a.m. memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at the Church of Christ, Goshen.  Elders Brad Price and Keith Besson of the Church of Christ will officiate.  Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be given to Goshen General Hospital Hospice or to the Church of Christ, Goshen.
