Berdean Oswald Jones

Berdean Oswald Jones, 92, of Cassopolis, Michigan and formerly of Goshen, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 5, 2016, at her daughter’s home.
She was born July 26, 1923 in Milford, Nebraska to Perry and Lena (Rediger) Stutzman.
On January 4, 1942 she married Orie E. Oswald. He died September 2, 1977. In 2004 she married Vercoe Jones. He died in 2011.
Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Gary) Schweitzer of Windsor, Missouri and Virginia (Lon) Carlisle of Cassopolis; a son, Lynn (Wanda) Oswald of LaGrange; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; a daughter, Kathlene; a brother, Lloyd Stutzman and two sisters, Meriel Stauffer and Vada Stutzman.
An area resident since 1978, Mrs. Jones had been a member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church and presently a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. For most of her adult life she lived in Milford, Nebraska as a farmer’s wife. The Lord’s presence in her life was evident by how she lived.
Friends may call Friday, January 8, 2016 from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at The Meetinghouse at Greencroft, Goshen. Pastor Jeff Whittaker of Michiana Christian Embassy will officiate.
Burial will follow in Gracelawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Mission of Elkhart.
