Barbara Yoder, 87, died Saturday evening, September 13, 2008, at her home. She was born in Exeland, Wisconsin, on December 4, 1920, to Rudy and Elizabeth (Thomas) Hochstetler. She married Ammon C. Yoder on October 15, 1942, in Morocco, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2000. A homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church, Mrs. Yoder is survived by five daughters, Elizabeth Ann Stauffer of Sterling, Illinois, Katie (Harvey) Schlabach of Burr Oak, Michigan, Lydia Mae (Orla) Eash of Shipshewana, Mary (Marvin) Borkholder of Colon, Michigan, and Amanda Sue (Edward) Schwartz of Burr Oak, Michigan; two sons, Bill R. (Gladys) Yoder of Shipshewana, and Richard L. (Mary) Yoder of Goshen; 36 grandchildren; and 91 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ammon; a son-in-law, Harley Stauffer; two granddaughters, Jeanette Stauffer and Faith Ann Stauffer; a grandson, Kevin Eash; two great-grandsons, Jaylyn Yoder and Eugene Eash; two sisters, Lydiann Miller and Katie Hochstetler; and four brothers, Dan, Ben, Henry and Ervin Hochstetler. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Monday, and all day Tuesday, September 15 and 16, at the home of Clayton Bontrager, 13838 CR 34, Goshen. A 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at the Clayton Bontrager home. Bishop Paul Hochstetler and Home Ministry will officiate. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
