Barbara E. Suter, 90, of Winona Lake, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Grace Village. She was born November 24, 1920 in Versailles, Missouri, to the late Daniel and Mary (Driver) Raber. She married Nelson Suter February 14, 1940 in Goshen. He died March 9, 1999. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy L. (Victor) Virgil and Bonnie S. Lloyd, both of Warsaw; a son, Ray K. (Patricia) Suter of San Diego, California; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, D. A. (Erma) Raber of Newton, Kansas. Mrs. Suter lived in this area since 1939 and worked at Richmond Wholesale, Goshen, for 25 years. She was a member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, Goshen. A 2:30 p.m., memorial service will be held Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Grace Village, Winona Lake with Chaplain Bryan Benjamin officiating. Her body will be cremated and ashes buried at Violett Cemetery, Goshen, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Mission, 801 Benham Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516.
