Barbara Ellen Miller

Barbara Ellen Miller, 93, of Goshen, passed away Friday, July 26, at home.

She was born March 8, 1931 in Middlebury to Ervin J. and Barbara Ann (Eash) Yoder.

On February 11, 1951, she married Vernon Jay Miller at Pleasant Grove Church.  He died December 16, 2012.

Survivors include five children, Steven (Karen) Miller of Goshen, Sheryl (Richard) Mullet of Nashwauk, Minnesota, Stanley (Elvera) Miller of Dominican Republic, Scott (Cynthia) Miller of Goshen and Sharla Renshaw of Kalamazoo, Michigan; 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Rhodes of Middlebury and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Yoder of Middlebury and Gail Burt of Goshen.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Sylvia Miller, Edna Bechtel and Lydia Ann Miller; brothers, Wilbur and Perry Yoder and four grandchildren.

A member of Mount Joy Mennonite Church, Barbara was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels, Menno Hof and 50+ years with Greencroft   She enjoyed catering meals and being a farmer’s wife, as well as working in her flower gardens.

A loving mother and grandmother, she was loved for her tea parties and gingerbread man cakes.

Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

A 10:30 a.m. memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 30, at Mount Joy Mennonite Church.

A private burial at Clinton Union Cemetery will precede the memorial service.

Memorial donations may be given to World Missionary Press or Gospel Echoes Prison Ministry.
