Barbara Meadows

Barbara Meadows, 88, of Goshen died Monday morning, March 25, 2013 at Greencroft Goshen Health Care. She was born July 7, 1924 in Jellico, Tennessee, to William Crit and Bessie Mae (Gilreath) Creekmore. She married William J. Meadows, August 12, 1939 in Tennessee. He died April 3, 2008. Survivors include a daughter, Cathy (Tony) Howard, of Nokomis, Florida; two sons, William D. (Karen) Meadows, of Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Tedd Meadows; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Martin (Sue) and Billy Gene Creekmore, both of Toledo, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Goldie Stanfill and Bessie Jane Hughes; a son, John Wesley Meadows; a grandson, Damon Meadows; five sisters, Nora Douglas, Meltie Williams, Mary Troxel, Kathleen Barnhardt and Pauline Brock; and three brothers, Louis, Charlie and Junior Creekmore. Mrs. Meadows moved to Goshen in 1964 and worked for Steury Boat. She attended Goshen Pentecostal House of Prayer. Friends may call 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 2:45 p.m., graveside service will follow at Hess Cemetery, Goshen. Pastor Tom Riggs, Goshen Pentecostal House of Prayer and Morgan Meadows, Barbara's grandson, will officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to Goshen Pentecostal House of Prayer.
