Barbara J. Lantzer Longcor, 85, of Millersburg died Sunday, March 19, 2023 surrounded by family at her daughter’s home.
She was born June 3, 1937 in Goshen to Kenneth and Mildred (Umbenhour) Hapner.
On February 25, 1955 she married Devon Lantzer, Jr. She shared 42 years of marriage with him before his death June 14, 1997. She later married Richard Longcor, June 1, 2002.
He survives along with her three children, Brad (Marlene) Lantzer, Goshen, Wanda (Doug) Woodring, Millersburg, and Kyle (Hannah) Lantzer, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Kauffman, Millersburg, and two brothers, Kenneth (Sharon) Hapner, Bozeman, Montana and Dennis (Cherri) Hapner, Syracuse.
She is also survived by three step-children, Mike (Ann Nordmeyer) Longcor, West Lafayette, Mark (Jan) Longcor, Elkhart, and Marty (RuthAnn) Longcor, Camby; three step-grandchildren; and six step-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and first husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Biff Lantzer.
Barbara was an active member of People’s Bible Church, the Fairfield Extension Club, and served as a Girl Scout leader. She worked in bank management at Farm Bureau Credit Union, and later for accountants, Loucks and Weaver, and Stauffer Certified Public Accountants.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
A 10 a.m. funeral service will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at People’s Bible Church, 68074 US 33, Goshen. Rev. John Randolph will officiate.
Burial will follow at Baintertown Cemetery, New Paris.
