Barbara Jane Lilly

Barbara Jane Lilly, 91, of Goshen, died Friday, November 10, 2023 at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born December 20, 1931 in Goshen to Orville and Miriam (Moyer) Loucks.

On June 14, 1953 she married Lloyd E. Lilly in Goshen.

He survives along with three daughters, Rebecca (Peter) Dennison, Elgin, Ontario, Canada, Esther (Barry) Burnside, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Naomi (Wayne) Green, Goshen; four grandchildren: four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Marie Sims, Flint, Michigan and Carol (Rollan) Gongwer, Oklahoma City, Illinois.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Loucks, David Loucks, Walter Loucks and John Loucks and three sisters, Grace Pettifor, Gladys Pettifor, Ruth Yoder and a grandson, Eric Dennison.

After graduating from Bethel College in 1954, Barbara and Lloyd were missionaries in Nigeria, where she taught and provided nursing care. Upon returning to the United States she became an LPN and worked in in a Florida hospital. After settling  in the area they joined New Paris Missionary Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 15, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Hackney will officiate.

Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Cemetery.
