Barbara A. Goins

Barbara Ann Goins, 71, of Goshen, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Goshen General Hospital.

She was born June 23, 1946 in Welch, West Virginia to Daniel Morgan and Grace Lenora (Holbrook) Akers.

She is survived by daughter, Lisa Ann Mathews of Holland, Michigan; four grandchildren, Emily (Stephen) DeYoung, Ashley (Jason) Brandeberry, Nik (Jordan) Delp and Jessica (Jason) Gowing; nine great-grandchildren, Beckett and Greyson DeYoung, Joshua and Kate Brandeberry, Noah, Beckett and Thea Delp and Lily and David Gowing and three sisters, Anna Louise (Franklin) Vaughn of Goshen, and Betty Hawkins and Lora Spicher, both of West Virginia.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Teresa Lynn Delp; son-in-law, Todd Mathews; grandson, Dustin Mathews; and three brothers, Lonnie, Daniel and Frank Akers.

Barbara worked for the Elkhart County Health Department.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Steven Childerston will officiate.

Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
