Barbara Mae Erb

Barbara Mae Erb, 87, of Goshen, passed away late Saturday night, November 10, 2012, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born November 2, 1925 in Lowville, New York to Daniel and Mary (Lehman) Zehr. She married Ezra Erb January 1, 1946 at New Bremen Mennonite Church, New Bremen, New York. He died June 22, 2007. She is survived by a son, Jack (Cindy) Erb of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; a daughter, Rhonda (John) Landgraf of Goshen; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Houppert of Rochester, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Michele Staurseth; a sister, Lois Kerr and a brother, Walter Zehr. A Goshen resident since 1995, Mrs. Erb was a world class homemaker with the gift of hospitality and humor. She enjoyed cooking and knitting. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen. Visitation and funeral service will also be held at Alden Mennonite Church, Alden, New York with burial to follow in Alden Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Waterford Mennonite Church or Alden Mennonite Church.
