Barbara Jean Disher

Barbara Jean Disher, 71, of Goshen, died late Tuesday night, March 25, 2008, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1936 in Leachville, Arkansas, to the late Homer S. and Maxine (King) Brimhall.  She married Charles Disher in Goshen on May 11, 1957.  He survives. A Goshen resident since 1956, Mrs. Disher was a homemaker and past member of the Goshen Eagles #58. She is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, Ron (Mary) Maynard and Jackie Disher, both of Goshen; a daughter, Shawn Disher of Goshen; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, John W. Brimhall and Jerry (Elizabeth) Brimhall, both of Goshen, and Donny King of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; and three sisters, Gen (Paul) Adkinson, Bonnie (Doyle) Walton, and Virginia Meriweather, all of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 27, at the funeral home. An 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2008, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial will be in Baintertown Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen Boys and Girls Club.
