Barbara Sue Day

Barbara Sue Day, 77, of Goshen, died early Wednesday morning, January 10, 2007, at Goshen General Hospital where she had been a patient since January 5.   She was born on June 1, 1929, in Cromwell, Indiana, to Dorsey and Mary Lucille (Schrock) Arnold.  She married Wesley F. Day, III, on June 26, 1952, in Goshen.  He died January 19, 1989.   A 1946 graduate of Jefferson High School, she was a 50 year member of the First United Methodist Church, Goshen.  She was also a member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority.  Mrs. Day, along with her husband, in 1957, co-founded Day Equipment Corporation, a distributor of hoses and fittings to manufacturers and farmers in Goshen.  She retired in May of 2006.   She is survived by two sons: Wesley F. (LuAnn) Day, IV, of Mokena, Illinois, and Mitchell A. (Deb) Day of Goshen; a daughter, Amy (James) Venosky of Goshen; and two grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, a brother, Elwyn Dean Arnold and a sister, Wilda Veradein Wyland.   Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 12, at the funeral home.   A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church, Goshen.  Rev. Ed Fritz will officiate.   Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
