Barbara Mae Benton

Barbara Mae Wade Benton, 65, of Goshen, died at her home Tuesday evening, May 19, 2015. She was born June 3, 1949 in Berwind, West Virginia, to Louis Edward and Betty Mae (Kirby) Wade. Survivors include a daughter, Janice Marie Benton Rink and a son, Scottie Duane Benton (fiancé, Dusty Arwood Miller), both of Goshen; four grandchildren, Zakkary Rink, Swade, Adriana and Darl Benton; and four sisters, Brenda (Frank) Wade Swank of Logan, Ohio, Mary Jane (Bill) Wade Tritt of Columbus, Ohio, Evelyn Wade Smith of Kendallville and Ginger (Michael) Wade Snook of Goshen. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lewis, Allen, Larry, Ronald and Donald Wade; two sisters, Betty Gay Wade Sheets and Bonnie Sue Wade Woody; and a grandson, Baby Rink. Barbara was a group leader at Acme Radiator for 26 years and a lifetime member of the Goshen D.A.V 15 and the V.F.W. Post 2749, Kendallville. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed time with her family and line dancing. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Goshen D.A.V. 15, 708 W. Pike St., Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. According to her wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for final expenses.
