Barbara Ann Anderson

Barbara A. Anderson of Goshen, IN, died at 12:10 am on March 31, 2026. Barb was born July 13, 1931 In Chouteau, OK to Ora J. Sr and Mattie Troyer.

The family moved from Oklahoma to Indiana when Barb was 13 years old. On September 10, 1949, Barb married Roman Anderson. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2000.

She is survived by 3 children: Donald (Keri) Anderson, Middlebury, IN, Kristine Simcox, Goshen, IN and Jeffrey (Diane Robinson) Anderson, Bristol, IN, and daughter-in-law, Robin Anderson, Mishawaka, IN. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Heather (Jon) Bemisderfer, Middlebury, IN, Hollie (Prayush) Saraswat, Plymouth, MI, Nicole (Dan) Smith, Elkhart, IN, Kassandra Simcox, Indianapolis, IN, and Joseph Anderson, Mishawaka, IN, as well as 10 great grandchildren, Morgan (Blake Lill) Jones, Reagan Bemisderfer, Madelyn Bemisderfer, Lauren Bemisderfer, William Bemisderfer, Sameer Saraswat, Leena Saraswat, Katelyn Smith, Aubrey Smith and Mackenzie Smith. Also surviving are 3 great-great grandchildren: Zoey Jones, Reid Jones and Brooks Lill.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband; son, Ronald Anderson; and siblings Aaron Troyer, Alvin Troyer, Rudy Troyer, Perry Troyer, Clara Mullet, Abe Troyer and Bud Troyer. Barb was the last survivor of that Troyer generation.

There are many fond memories of the Troyer family, and all are happy they are together once more. Barb was loved by all. She always had a smile and welcomed anyone and everyone. Her family and friends cherished being with her. Barb spent her working career with Monsanto and Starcraft RV. Upon retirement, she was in charge of the gift shop at Goshen Hospital for many years. When she moved to Greencroft, she also ran the small gift shop at Manor 2. She was, indeed, a special lady.

Her services will be held April 11, 2026 at the Middlebury Church of the Brethren, 507 West Bristol Ave, Middlebury, IN. Visitation is from 9:30 am until 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service. Pastor Janet Shaver will officiate. The burial service will occur at Grace Lawn cemetery, Middlebury, IN.
