Bao So

Bao So, 74, of Goshen, died Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Goshen Hospital.

He was born August 4, 1946 in Cambodia.

In May 1972 he married San Sok in Battmbang, Cambodia.  She died March 28, 2020.

Survivors include two daughters, Paula So of Mishawaka and Phaly So of Goshen; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild and eight brothers and four sisters in Cambodia.

In the mid 70’s the So family was sponsored by a local family and able to leave the turmoil of Cambodia.  Bao worked on the assembly line at Reese Trailer Hitch, Goshen, before his retirement.  He loved helping and caring for others.  He was part of the Cambodian National Rescue Party, an organization for human rights.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, the outdoors and gambling.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 18, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  A procession to the crematory will follow after visitation.
