Balynda "Lynda" Rumble

Balynda “Lynda” Rumble, 70, died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, February 17, 2008. She was born in Oneonta, New York, on March 4, 1937, to Milton F. and Catharyn (Hare) Melvin.  She married Clinton F. “Pat” Rumble, Jr. on October 11, 1958 in North Syracuse at the Andrews Memorial Methodist Church.  He preceded her in death on November 13, 2007. Mrs. Rumble moved to the area 14 years ago, coming from New York.  A homemaker, Mrs. Rumble had worked for a number of years as a data processor for General Electric handling and recording highly guarded technical information for the Gemini and Saturn rocket program. Mrs. Rumble was a graduate of North Syracuse High School and Russell Sage University, both in New York. She was a dedicated and nurturing wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Steven D. (Jill) Rumble of Elkhart and Phillip A. Rumble of New Paris; five grandchildren; and a brother, Richard T. Melvin, Sr. of Bob’s Lake, Ontario, Canada. Mrs. Rumble’s family will honor her request that there be no public services.  Private family services will be held at a later date.
