Audrey Bowlby Reed

Audrey Bowlby Reed, 97, of Plymouth, passed away at her daughter's home early Saturday morning, January 12, 2013. She had been ill the past two weeks. She was born October 1, 1915 in Norwalk, Ohio to Alexander and Abigail (Long) Spratt. She married Robert Bowlby October 1, 1937 in Elkhart. He died September 26, 1985. She later married George Reed January 11, 1989 in Hawaii. He died March 8, 2005. She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Raymond) Gamble of Elkhart and Sharon (James) Carnes of Plymouth; a son, Robert (Marsha Reed) Bowlby II of Safety Harbor, Florida; a step-daughter, Karen (Reed) Johnson, Safety Harbor, Florida; 13 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. A 1934 graduate of Millersburg High School, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Eastern Star. Following cremation, a private burial will be held at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
