Audrey J. Berkey

Audrey J. Berkey, 83, of Goshen died Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born September 18, 1939 in Jackson, Kentucky to Courtney and Mary (Allen) Parks.

On December 6, 1958 she married Dean H. Berkey in Huntertown. He died September 12, 2003.

Survivors include two sons, Dan (Kim) Berkey and Jeff Berkey, both of Goshen; four sisters, Verna Greene of Tennessee, Sharon (Jim) Haarer of Goshen, Joyce Stephens of Sidney, and Pat Haarer of Goshen; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Irene Wan, Mary Counts, Gladys Clem, Gladia Erickson, and Daisy Langer; and a brother, Jim Parks.

Mrs. Berkey is a life long area resident. She worked at the former Fonda Group, in packaging while raising her family.

Audrey was a member of Full Gospel Community Church, New Paris. She enjoyed playing cards and board games and spending time in the garden. She was a natural caregiver to her family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Fred Curry will officiate.

Burial will follow at Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen.
