Arthur Leland Sharp, Sr.

Arthur L. Sharp, Sr., 94, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, surrounded by his family at the home of his daughter JoAnne.

He was born September 28, 1928, in Goshen to Clarence and Mary (Linn) Sharp.

On January 1, 1951, he married Dorothy I. Arnold in Goshen.  She died February 10, 2022.

Mr. Sharp is survived by three daughters, JoAnne Sharp of Elkhart, Sandra (Robert) Warble of Goshen and DJ Wilson of Elkhart; two sons, Arthur L. Sharp, Jr. of Goshen and Kenneth R. (Debra) Sharp of Elkhart; daughter-in-law, Darlene Sharp, Goshen; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Sharp, Sr.; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Sharp and several siblings.

Mr. Sharp was the founder and owner of Sharp Sanitation for 20 plus years. His greatest joy in this life was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  He was a member of Zion Assembly church of God, Goshen.

He will always be remembered as a kind, giving man who never knew a stranger.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 26, 2023, from1 to 4 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  A Monday, March 27, 2023, funeral service will be start at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
