Arthur S. Henry

Arthur S. Henry, 93, of Goshen died Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Greencroft Healthcare.

He was born July 2, 1930, in Cadiz, Ohio to Sewell M. and Minnie T. (Wynn) Henry.

Mr. Henry served in the U.S. Army from November 1949 through January 1953.

Following his military service, he married Alice I. Miller on February 13, 1959, in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She preceded him in death November 13, 2023.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen (Paul) LeFevre of Canton, Michigan; four grandchildren, Kyle, Bridget (Anissa) and Matthew (Sophia) LeFevre and Cory Henry; and a great-grandson, Mateo LeFevre.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy; sisters, Florence Henry, Goldie Stevens and Gladys Thayer; and brothers, Herman and Howard Henry.

Mr. Henry worked in agriculture in Michigan and Indiana. He owned and operated Hopkins Elevator while living in Allegan, Michigan; and later was employed at Martin’s Feeds in New Paris, Indiana for several years. He and his wife also owned Alice's Embroidery in New Paris, Indiana.

A celebration of Arthur’s life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 4 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

A private burial with military honors will take place at New Paris Cemetery.
