Arthur Wilson Eby, age 81, died December 11, 2020, at home.

He was born January 24, 1939 in Wakarusa to Carl and Mabel (Pletcher) Eby.

On January 11, 1980, he married Janet (Weirich) Miller.  She survives along with a son, Todd (Brenda) Eby of Goshen and a daughter Tami (Rodney) Urick of Milford; four grandchildren, Sara (Carlos) Banavidez, Robert Urick, Lauren (Paul) Henderson and Eric (Lauren) Eby and seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Kylea, Hayden, Haile, Nolan Eleanor and Magnolia.  Also surviving are two step-daughters, Tina (Jim) Dahl of Westfield and Lisa (Billy Ray) Moore of Carmel; five step-grandchildren, Pierce and Parker Dahl and Corby, Lucy and Amelia Lyon.  A brother, Reid (Judy) Eby of Wakarusa also survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Art graduated with the Class of 1957 from Wakarusa High School and served with the Indiana Air National Guard from 1957 to 1961 with active duty at Chambley Air Force Base, France.

He was a 3 rd generation Ford dealer and was owner of Eby Ford-Lincoln-Mercury dealership in Goshen from 1961 to 1998.  He was a member of the National Ford Dealer Council, National Automobile Association, Ford Dealer Advertising and Progressive Ford Dealers Association.

He was active in the Goshen community during his career.  He served on the Goshen Health System Board, Greater Goshen and Goshen Chamber of Commerce, Bashor Home for Boys and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.  He was a member of Goshen Rotary Club, Maplecrest County Club and Elcona Country Club.

Art enjoyed many different hobbies and had accumulated many friends over the years.  He was a pilot, owner of numerous Military Warbirds and was a member of EAA Warbirds of America.  He enjoyed flying with his wife, Jan, to different restaurants for breakfast in the Indiana/Michigan area and together they attended many airshows around the country.

Starting as a young boy in Wakarusa, he began flying remote controlled model airplanes and continued until his death.  He was a member of the Millersburg RC Modelers Club.  If the weather was suitable on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, you could find Art at the RC flying field with his buddies.

Art and his family enjoyed spending time at their second home in Naples, Florida.  The family has many fun memories of boating, golfing, playing board games, card games, mini golf, walking on the beach, playing in the sand, going to the model airplane fields, telling jokes, teasing and laughing together.

He was a member of the Collier County Fun Flyers RC Club, Naples and was a 27 year member of the Country Club of Naples.

Art attended River Oaks Community Church, Goshen.

Due to the current national pandemic, the family will be holding private services, Friday, December 18, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A link to the service will be available at www.yoderculpfuneralhome.com .  Rev. Scott Tilley will officiate.  Burial, with military honors, will follow at Violett Cemetery.
