Arthur Dean

Arthur Dean, 88, of Goshen, died Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Greencroft Healthcare.

He was born December 3, 1931 in Muskegon, Michigan to Oliver C. and Kathryn A. (Robinson) Dean.

On October 27, 1951 he married Doris McDowell in Muskegon, Michigan.  She died October 17, 2012.

Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl (Lance) Scotney of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rebecca (Kenneth) Blankenship of Hernando, Florida and Nancy (John) Wagner of Little Chute, Wisconsin; three sons, Daniel (Julie) Dean of Grove City, Pennsylvania, Kevin (Janice) Dean of Elkhart and Nathan (Tamara) Dean of White Pigeon, Michigan; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and a brother, Lawrence Dean of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Douglas and Bruce Dean.

Following his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Dean attended both Moody Bible Institute and Northern Baptist Seminary in Chicago.

Arthur ministered in various Baptist churches in the Chicago area, Wisconsin, Florida and served longest at Grace Baptist in LaPorte.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, September 12 at 10 a.m. at Sugar Grove Church, 58512 Old C.R. 17, Goshen.  Associate Pastor John Ware will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service.
