Arlene was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth, humor, and generosity.
Arlene is survived by her significant other, John Moore of Goshen; her children Ronda (Dickie) Ward of Owings, MD, Rick (JoAnn) Grewe of Goshen, and Randy (Michelle) Grewe of Middlebury; and step-children Debbie (Bryce) Eller of Port Arthur, TX, Diana Sims of Denton, TX, Doug (Carrie) Julien of Wyoming, MI, Dawn (Pat) Woods of Goshen, and Darren Julien of Santa Monica, CA. Arlene was known for her infectious smile and her ability to bring joy to those around her. She had a knack for making people laugh with her humorous stories. She took great pride in her creative talents, particularly in baking her monster cookies, caramel corn, and other baked goods, which earned her numerous awards at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair. Arlene enjoyed working at Old Hoosier Meats in Middlebury for several years, and enjoyed many great adventures with Julien’s Auctions. For many years, she also hosted a Christmas bazaar at her home, attended by many. Arlene's spirit of giving was exemplified through her 37 years of volunteer service at Goshen Hospital.
A viewing will be held at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home on Friday, February 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral services will be on Saturday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with a one-hour viewing preceding the service, followed by burial at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Middlebury.
