Arden K. Ball, 87, of Goshen and formerly of Milford, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Helping Angels, with family at his side.
He was born Dec. 22, 1933 in Huntington to Paul and Sarah Ball.
On Sept. 2, 1951 he married Charmaine Sunderman in Huntington. She died Jan. 2, 2018.
Survivors include three children, David K. (Cara) Ball, Edwardsburg, Michigan, Marie E. Freeman, Breeding, Kentucky and Rebecca (Paris) Ball-Miller, Goshen; two grandchildren, Jason (Heidi) Ball, Durand, Michigan and Laura Ball, Martinez, California.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Paul Edward and Robert Ball and Patricia Pressler and son-in-law, Ron Freeman.
Arden graduated from Manchester University in 1963 and was later honored as Alumni of the Year. An Eagle Scout, he enjoyed time outdoors cherishing spots close to water.
As a pastor in the Church of the Brethren, Arden served Spring Creek, Loon Creek and Roann congregations completing his career as director of Camp Alexander Mack, Milford, from 1975-1994.
Arden donated his body to Indiana University for medical purposes.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Camp Mack in the summer of 2022.
Memorials may be given to Camp Alexander Mack or the Arden and Charmaine Ball Scholarship Fund at Manchester University.
