Archie Edwin "Ed" Williams

Archie “Ed” Williams, 85, of Goshen, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Greencroft Gables Healthcare.

He was born April 8, 1936, in Phelps County, Missouri to Arch E. and Alene (Hartley) Williams.

On August 12, 1956, he married June Elizabeth Swanson. She died September 22, 2003.

He is survived by a son, Dan (Debra) Williams of Goshen; a daughter, Amy (Jeff) McArtor of Davenport, Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Williams of Kalona, Iowa; a step-daughter, Charlene Mosier of Hutchinson, Kansas; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Aakansha) Williams, Matthew Williams, Sharayah (Michael) Carney, Tiana Williams, April (Devin) White, and David McArtor; and a great-grandson, Owen McArtor.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded by a son, Samuel Edwin Williams; a brother, Eldon Williams; four sisters, Ruby Thruman, Geraldine Fox, Anita Sharp and Snoma Williams; and his second wife, Mae Wedel Williams.

Ed was a 1970 graduate of Goshen College. He was a self-employed carpenter and attended Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship.

According to his wishes, a private graveside will take place later in Kalona, Iowa.
