April L. Ba

Goshen – April L. Ba, 51, of Goshen, died on Friday, September 19, 2025 surrounded by her loving family, after an extended illness.

She was born May 21, 1974 in Mishawaka to John and Nancy (Collins) Wood.

On January 10, 2009 she married Assane Ba in Milford.

Survivors include her husband, Assane Ba; her father, John Wood of Milford; two sisters, Kim (Martin Moreno) Graff of Milford, Jennifer (Brad) Kelley of Huntsville, Alabama; a brother, John (Kaytlin) Wood of Leesburg; many nieces and nephews; an aunt, Lynn Collins of Milford; and an uncle, Terry (Joe Walton) Collins of Mentone.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Wood.

For over 20 years, she dedicated her life to helping others as a compassionate Registered Nurse, working in critical care, ICU, and cardiac recovery. Her commitment to her patients and her profession was evident in her role as a manager in the open-heart surgery department.

April found joy in the simple things in life, like crafting, scrapbooking, and hunting for treasures at garage sales. She was a fan of both Darth Vader and Eeyore, a unique combination that showcased her one-of-a-kind personality.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

A private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
