Ansel "Bud" Clair Cripe

September 8, 1919 — April 11, 2008

Ansel "Bud" Clair Cripe, 88, of Plymouth, died Friday morning, April 11, 2008, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth, after an extended illness. He was born in Millersburg, Indiana, at the family home on September 8, 1919, to Lawrence C. and Margaret Angeline (Rink) Cripe.  He married Daisy Lymangrover on May 24, 1975 in Culver, Indiana.  She survives. A longtime resident of Millersburg and Culver, Mr. Cripe worked as a carpenter for Easterday in Culver.  An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Daisy; a step-daughter, Linda Wheeler of Goshen; three step-sons, Scott (Carol) Lymangrover of Mishawaka, Pete (Bonnie) Lymangrover of Lakeville, and Larry (Barbara) Lymangrover of North Liberty; 48 step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maedene Gee of Avilla and Beulah Cripe of Goshen; and a brother, Lawrence J. (Beverly) Cripe of Goshen. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne L. Cripe; and a sister, Zeulah Cripe. Friends may call 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 13, at the funeral home. A 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Carl Adams of First United Church of Christ, Goshen will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
