Annetta M. Harrington

Annetta M. Harrington, 94, of Goshen, passed away quietly at her home Saturday morning, January 24, 2015. She was born February 11, 1920 in Goshen to Lawrence and Pearl (Lafever) Copenhaver. On June 8, 1941 she married William F. Harrington Sr. at the First Congregational Church in Goshen. He survives along with two daughters, Teri Yoder and Debi Snook, both of Goshen; three sons, William F. "Bud" (Linda) Harrington Jr., of Mishawaka, Larry (Kathy) Harrington, of Visalia, California, and Patrick (Linda) Harrington, of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five foster great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Richard (Theresa) Copenhaver, of Goshen. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Cynthia Rhoades and Amy Davis. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Harrington was member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Goshen. She worked for the License Bureau, Penn-Johnson Controls, and retired from Farm Bureau Co-op as an accountant. As a member of the Goshen Historical Society she was a docent of the county courthouse for 20 years and honored with William as "Historians of the Year". She also was a member of the V.F.W., D.A.V., American Legion, and Moose Lodge. She was active in Camp Fire, Blue Birds, and Cub Scouts, where she served as a den mother. She along with her husband, William, was a member of the Wagon Wheel Presidents Club since 1965. They enjoyed travel to many places in the world including all the states of the Union. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2015 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 funeral service will be held. Rev. Andrew England will officiate. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen Historical Society.
