Anne Frances Gottbrath, 60, of Wakarusa, died early Friday morning, May 4, 2007, at her home after a three and a half year illness. She was born December 28, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Clyde Harrison and Mary Frances (Ewen) Meadows of Louisville. On June 19, 1971, she married John Gottbrath in Louisville. He survives. A 35 year resident of the area, she was a member of the Nappanee United Methodist Church. Mrs. Gottbrath worked as a librarian with the Elkhart Library System and was a member of the Indiana Library Federation. She was the 1995 recipient of the Intellectual Freedom Award and a member of the Intellectual Freedom Committee. She is survived by her husband, John; two sons, Christopher (Lara Dodds) Gottbrath of Starkville, Mississippi and John Michael Gottbrath of Louisville, Kentucky; and her mother, Mary Frances Meadows of Louisville. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Meadows and a brother, Victor Meadows. Friends will be received 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 6, at the funeral home. A 6:00 p.m., funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. David Harold of the Nappanee United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky, on Tuesday, May 8. Family and friends are to meet at the Broadway Baxter entrance for a 10:00 a.m. Lake Chapel service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Primary Pulmonary Association.
