Anna Barbara (Cross) Yoder, 82, died Saturday afternoon, July 19, 2014, at Courtyard Healthcare where she had been since April. She was born June 25, 1932 in Middlebury to Enos and Mattie (Yoder) Cross. On Nov. 23, 1950 she married Irvin C. Yoder in Middlebury. He survives along with seven children, Rosa Marie Yoder, St. Clair Shores, Mich., Warren Mark (Marla Kauffman) , Newton, Kan., Norma Ann Yoder, Niles, Mich., Loretta Sue (Dannie) Mast, Middlebury; Richard Irvin (Anita) Yoder, Greenwood, Dwight Allen (Dianne Smith) Yoder, Mobile, Ala., and Wesley Paul (Jill) Yoder, Goshen; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Vernon (Arlene), LeRoy (Esther) and Joseph (Alpha) Cross, all of Goshen; and a brother-in-law Calvin Borntrager, Middlebury. She was preceded in death by her father and her mothers, Mattie (Yoder) Cross and Sarah Ann (Bontrager) Cross; three sisters, Rosa (Cross) Borntrager, Mary (Cross) Schrock, and Fannie Cross; and three brothers, Daniel, George and Elmer Cross. A member of College Mennonite Church, she was actively involved with Mennonite Women, making hundreds of comforters and quilts for relief efforts. A homemaker, she worked in sales at Blue Fin Boats and at Greencroft in housekeeping and laundry. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 21, 2014, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2014, funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Pamela Yoder, College Mennonite Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Women at College Mennonite Church, Goshen.
