Ann G. Beckner

Ann G. Beckner, 92, of Goshen, died Sunday afternoon, November 4, 2007, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born in Middlebury, Indiana, on February 21, 1915, to David and Ada (Miccum) Yoder.  She married Donald K. Beckner on December 28, 1953, in Goshen at the Goshen City Church of the Brethren. A licensed beautician, Mrs. Beckner owned and operated Ann’s Beauty Shop until her retirement in 1970. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Goshen Hospital Auxiliary.  She had donated blood regularly for the past 37 years. She is survived by her husband, Donald; a son, Donald E. (Pat Styer) Beckner of Leola, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Roberta Ann (Graham) Adams of Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Frank, Jack and Ollie Yoder and two sisters, Bertha Schrock and Marie Kistler. Friends will be received 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, November 8, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home.  Pastoral Assistant Pamela Kling of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
