Ancil “Bud” Leroy Taylor, 71, of Monticello, Kentucky and formerly of Goshen, died Saturday, October 25, 2008, at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello. He was born in Logansport, Indiana, on August 19, 1937, to Charles Henry and Chloe Bell (Randolph) Taylor. He married Susanna Miller in Goshen on May 2, 1970. She preceded him in death in 1994. A Goshen resident until two years ago, Mr. Taylor retired from Johnson Controls where he worked as a janitor. He is survived by a daughter, Kristine Taylor of Monticello, Kentucky; a son, Eric Taylor of Goshen; three grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly (Frank) Evans of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and Betty Carrol of Ozark, Arkansas; and five brothers, Jerry (Fannie) Taylor of New Paris, Roger (Gloria) Taylor, Carl (Vicky) Taylor and Bill (Rolene) Taylor, all of Goshen, and James Taylor of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susanna; a brother, Raymond Taylor; and a sister, Helen Gulf. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, at the funeral home. A 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Carolyn Kern of First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, will officiate. Burial will be in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.
