Anatole "Tony" Hluchota

July 28, 1938 — August 9, 2011

Anatole "Tony" Hluchota, 73, of Goshen, died Tuesday morning, August 9, 2011, at IU Health Goshen. He was born July 28, 1938 in the Ukraine to the late Paul and Alexandria (Rebalka) Hluchota. He came to the U.S. in October 1949 and became a U.S. citizen prior to enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He served in the Navy from 1960-64 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He attended Middlebury High School and worked for the Goshen Proof Company for 19 years, retiring in 1999 from Kent Industries, Elkhart, after 23 years. Mr. Hluchota is survived by two brothers, George Hluchota of Goshen, and Leon Hunter, Sr. of Mitchell. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 12 and one hour prior to service. A memorial Litiya service will be held Friday at 8 p.m. A 10 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with Rev. Father Silouan Rolando and Rev. Deacon James Stickel of the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Goshen, officiating. Burial, with military graveside services will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
