Amy Jo Young

Amy Jo Young, 50, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday afternoon, March 30, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born October 18, 1957, in Goshen to Richard D. Newton of Port Richey, Florida and the late Jo Ann Doolen. A resident of Fort Wayne for 24 years, Ms Young worked at The Hope House, a battered women’s shelter.  She was active in AA in Fort Wayne since 1985. She is survived by Ann Elizabeth (Jacob) Odem of Kendallville and a son, Matthew Douglas Young, her father, Richard D. Newton and a sister, Nancy Strom  both of Port Richey, Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother, and a granddaughter, Taylor Morgan Cleveland. There will be no services.
