Amy L. (Smith) Davis

Amy L. (Smith) Davis, 39, of Elkhart, died Tuesday evening, July 12, 2011, at IU Health Indianapolis. She had been in declining health for some time. She was born September 15, 1971 in Elkhart. On June 26, 2010 she married David Davis in Elkhart. He survives. Also surviving are her father, Dennis (Donna) Smith of New Paris; her mother, Linda Everingham (Pat) Harrington of Elkhart; two sons, James and Sonny Behnke, both of Dowagiac, Michigan; a brother, Michael Smith of Baltimore, Maryland; and two step-sisters, Brooke (Ryan) Flowers and Dana (Andrew) England, both of Goshen. She was a dental assistant and worked in home health care. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 14 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. An 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2011, funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Overpeck officiating. Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made for her sons, James and Sonny Behnke, care of Elcose Federal Credit Union, Elkhart.
