Amy Lynn Bates, 52, of Goshen, died Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born December 12, 1972 in Goshen.

Survivors include her father, Steven Roy Bates; her mother, Sally Diane (Peachey) and step-father, Greg Carpenter; a brother, Aaron Bates; and four step-brothers, Stever Wenzel, Jason Wenzel, Sean Wenzel and Erik Carpenter.

Amy enjoyed crafting, karaoke, beating Uncle Jack at Skip Bo and loved to play Sequence. She loved going to church or watching it on TV if she couldn’t go.

She was an avid IU men’s basketball fan. Some of her favorite movies were, Dirty Dancing, Road House, and adored Patrick Swayze.

Amy was blessed with being able to be independent by driving and had a passion for cooking. Her favorite thing to make were her famous meatballs. She loved making anything with pickles and Ramen noodles.

She loved her roommates, Penny and Beth Ann immensely. Above all she loved her family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 4 until the 7 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Mel Shetler will officiate.
