Amelia Cobos Sanchez

Amelia Cobos Sanchez, 81, of Goshen,  passed away Monday, June 5, 2023, at home.

She was born March 15, 1942 in Tuxpan, Veracruz, Mexico, to Arturo Cobos and Lucina Cobos Santos.

On February 14, 1967 she married Cesar R. Sanchez in Mexico City, Mexico.

He survives along with two children, Oliva (Shawn) Rittenhouse of Goshen and Cesar Roberto (Dana) Sanchez of Elkhart; three grandchildren, Madison Rittenhouse and Ella and Sofia Sanchez, and two siblings, Armantina Cobos and José (Emma) Cobos, both of Mexico.

Mrs. Sanchez was an active member of Walnut Hill Mennonite Church.  She enjoyed gardening and cooking.  She worked at Goshen College for 25 years with the Physical Plant.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Walnut Hill Mennonite Church. The service will be live streamed via Zoom link https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81377103941?pwd=VURTR2xPeEk5QVcvNTVhQ2NmNmNWZz09 .
