Amber A. Akers

Amber A. Akers, 74, of Elkhart died Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Esther’s House, Center for Hospice Care.

She was born August 27, 1950 in Goshen to James E. and Mary L. (Martin) Davidhizar.

She is survived by a daughter, Jessica (Brian) Ketcham of Elkhart and three grandchildren, Kristin, Brady and Savannah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Gordon “Gordy” E. Davidhizar, and her sister, Theresa Mason.

A life-long area resident, Amber worked in the hospitality industry for several local restaurants.

Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Violett Cemetery.
