Alvaro Flores Castruita

Alvaro Flores Castruita, 80, of Goshen, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Goshen Hospital.

He was born February 19, 1942, in Reynosa, Mexico to Leonardo Flores and Josefa Flores Castruita.

On Oct. 29, 1969, he married Benita Garza in Edinburg Texas.

She survives along with three children, Nora (Guadalupe) Reyna of Goshen, Alvaro (Paty) Flores Jr. of Nappanee,  and Veronica (Gustavo) Arroyo of Plymouth; other children include, Oziel Flores of Austin, Texas, Zoraida Ivone (Miguel) Chapa of Hidalgo, Texas, and Norma Flores of Mexico; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Francisco Flores of Denver, Colorado and Rafael Flores of McAllen, Texas.

Mr. Flores enjoyed going to casinos, playing pool and poker and eating at Texas Roadhouse.  He worked at Monogram Foods in Bristol.  He had also owned and operated a bar in Mexico.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, October 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
