Alisha Nicole Jensen, 26, of Goshen, died early Saturday morning, March 27, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital where she had been a patient since Tuesday. She was born on October 21, 1983, in Berlin, Wisconsin, to Dennis and Diane (Weina) Jensen. Alisha has battled cancer since age 4 and as a result developed epilepsy and became physically and mentally handicapped. She was living in an ADEC group home, which she loved. A resident of the area since 1987, she graduated from Wawasee High School in 2002. She is survived by her mother, Diane (Guy) Farmwald of Syracuse; her father, Dennis (Vikki) Jensen of Cromwell; two brothers, Craig A. (Jenna L.) Jensen of Cromwell, and Christopher O. Jensen of Syracuse; a step-sister, Mackenzie L. Farmwald and two step-brothers, Devin K. and Travis M. Farmwald, all of Portage, Michigan; grandmothers, Doris Goeke and Joyce Woodbury; step-grandparents, Ed and Linda Farmwald of Syracuse; and a niece, Jadyn Jensen of Syracuse. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, at the funeral home. A 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, with Goshen General Hospital Chaplain Shawn Gerber officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ADEC.
