Aline L. Reed, 82, of Syracuse, died Monday morning, January 7, 2008, at her home. She was born in Syracuse, Indiana, on June 2, 1925, to Millard and LaFern (Brown) Laughlin.  She married Charles D. Reed in Warsaw on October 30, 1948.  He survives. A lifelong resident of the area, Mrs. Reed worked at Johnson Controls as an inspector, retiring in 1987.  She was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Roger L. (Lovina) Tomlonson and William L. (Venitsi) Reed, both of Goshen, and Robert McKinley of Elkhart; two step-sons, Charles D. (Judy) Reed of Goshen and Terry (Penny Reed of Benton; a step-daughter, Carol Yoder of Goshen; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a brother, Robert Laughlin of Syracuse. She was preceded in death by a son, John McKinley; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Marvin, Bill and Millard, Jr. Friends will be received Thursday, January 10 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2008, funeral service will be held at the funeral home.  Pastor Sarah Tuttle of The Rock Church will officiate. Burial will be in Solomon Creek Cemetery, Syracuse. Memorial contributions may be made to the Syracuse American Legion.
