Alice M. Hoyt, 71, of Goshen, died Saturday afternoon, April 24, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Goshen on February 26, 1939, to Mervin and Lois (Kester) Culp. She married Lee Hoyt on June 15, 1957 at the First Brethren Church, Goshen. He survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Linda (Linden) Emery, Teresa (Brian) Rummel and Jane (Mark) Johnson, all of Goshen; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary (Stan) Huber, Louise (Glenn) Woods, and Sally (Jr.) Troyer, all of Goshen, and Patty (Allen) Cramer of Elkhart; and a brother, Lowell (Pat) Culp of Milford. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Amsden; and a grandson, Kurt Wendell Johnson. A 1957 graduate of Goshen High School, Mrs. Hoyt was a faithful member of Community Church of Waterford. She worked for 32 years at CTS. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 27 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. A 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Community Church of Waterford, 65154 CR 21, Goshen. Pastor Mike Overpeck will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to March of Dimes or Community Church of Waterford.
