Alice Rose Ferguson

Alice R. Ferguson, 81, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday evening, April 25, 2017, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing.

She was born May 29, 1935 in Notomine, West Virginia to Hestle and Juanita (Dickerson) Hodge.

On September 6, 1959 she married James Ferguson in Beckley, West Virginia.  He died June 3, 2002.

Survivors include a daughter, Darla Hostetler of Elkhart; a son, James Alan (Rosa) Ferguson of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Eric (Jesika) Hostetler, Matt Hostetler, Alex (Ashley Oliver) Hostetler and Alisha Ferguson; and two sisters, Betty (Bill) Fizer and Jackie Rose, both of St. Albans, West Virginia.

In 1953 she graduated from East Bank High School and moved to the area in 1964 from Beckley.  She worked as manager for G.C. Murphy, Goshen, for 20 years, retiring in 1992.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Friends may call Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Saturday funeral service will be conducted.  Associate Pastor Davis Webster of Zion Assembly Church of God, Goshen will officiate.

Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
